Gutierrez Brothers Racing back at it!

After an unexpected break in Gutierrez Brothers Racings’(GBR) season they are back at it with the US Nationals being their final stop for the 2022 race season. “We have had some unfortunate luck this year and it was best for us to cancel the regional races in Columbus and Chicago so we could get everything fixed up and ready to go for the US Nationals” says JP. “You never know what a race season will bring you and that was a tough thing to remember this year for us but we are back and will be ready to make some runs soon!”

If you follow GBR on social media you also know they used their break to set up their new Tormach CNC machine to keeping expanding their business along with taking on more customer work rebuilding engines and updating a couple pro mod cars including a ‘55 and ‘57 Chevy. “It was a little blessing in-disguise to be able to switch gears and get the shop set up with the new machine and bring in a new customer but we are very excited to go back to Indy and run the US Nationals” said Phil. 

For many racers the US Nationals is the biggest and best race of the year so it is no wonder GBR would make sure they would be at this race no matter what this year! For the alcohol teams the race run from Friday September 2 to Monday September 5. There will be two qualifying runs on Friday at 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Saturday will have the third qualifying pass at 11:15 am. Round one and two of eliminations will be on Sunday at 9:45 am and 2:15 pm. Semi-finals and Final round will start on Monday at 12:00 pm.
